Programs
Commuter Week
“Commuter Week” is brought to you by Student Activities partnered with the students of the Commuter Board. This year, the theme of Commuter Week is “A Week in Hollywood.” Commuter Week is March 26 through March 30. Listed below are the events for each day.
There will also be Grab-and-Go Breakfasts provided on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in front of the Union. We encourage commuters to stop by and pick up information about our office, information about Commuter Week, as well as a free breakfast and other goodies! Grab-and-Go Breakfasts will begin at 9 AM!
Housing Fair
Held every Fall & Spring semester, the Apartment Fair invites local off-campus housing properties to our campus to present first hand information to students. With every property bringing floor plans, price breakdowns, and move-in specials, Apartment Fair helps students to make contacts with off-campus housing in the surrounding area while heading to, leaving, or in between classes.
Grab & Go Breakfasts & Snacks
Once a month, the Student Activities Center and the The Commuter Board set up a table near different bus stops located around campus and give out free breakfast or snacks based on the time of day. Commuter students can grab free food and free information on their way to class. The dates for the Spring Semester are: Feb 9, Mar 8, Apr 12
The Commuter Board
The University of North Texas and the Student Activities Center partner with Community Assistants at local apartment complexes to support their creation of a community atmosphere where residents can succeed academically, socially, and professionally. This board helps program Commuter Week, as well as other events both on-campus and at their apartments, specifically for commuter and off-campus students.
