Since 1934 UNT has supported environmental research and teaching. Earthfest is an extravaganza, eco-event with live music, free food with a Farmer’s Market feel, green giveaways, and, a great GREEN learning experience. EarthFest will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 5-8pm.
Dance Marathon
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving students at over 150 schools across the country who raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in their community. These students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and social skills while raising funds in a variety of ways and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year culminates with a “marathon” where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games, and entertainment in order to celebrate the total amount raised that year. UNT will be holding its third annual Dance Marathon on Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 1-9pm in Union Silver Eagle Suite. All monies raised will go to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. Homecoming
Homecoming is an annual celebration of fun and tradition for students, faculty, staff and alumni groups such as the Green Jackets and the Floyd Graham Society gathered to enjoy friendships old and new. Spirit and tradition is decades strong as the UNT community fires up for the bonfire, yell contest, parade, tailgating and football. The Student Homecoming Committee are the student leaders for Homecoming who help coordinate key events and student traditions like Street Team, Service Event, Homecoming Kick-Off, and NPHC Step Show.

Mean Green Fling is the place to be before the start of classes. The Fling welcome UNT students with a fall evening filled with valuable information, live music, games and student’s favorite thing FREE food, prizes and fun! This annual event jump starts each academic year!

Movie on the Lawn
During First Flight, Student Activities and UPC host a blockbuster movie on a campus lawn under the stars to help students relax, meet new friends, with popcorn and prizes to help relieve the excitement and tension of the first week of classes.
Target Back to College After Hours Shopping Event
The Target After-Hours Shopping Event kicks off the start of fall classes with an exciting experience shopping for college essentials. Denton’s SuperTarget store hosts the fun for UNT students. At the Shopping Event, Target will bus students from UNT, or students can meet at the location for an exclusive shopping experience complete with giveaways, prizes and entertainment! Eagle Insomnia
Eagle Insomnia is a University Program Council and Student Activities Center collaboration that is a fun, annual study break event with food, prizes and novelty events that help give some celebration and inspiration for finals.
